A NEW TRANSMISSION: ONLY $2000!!
It just seems that the dollars keep on a rollin' out my pocket!
Today I had my transmission replaced. Hooray!! At least now I get traction in my gears when I give the car gas. But it was not a cheap endeavor. Not by a long shot. But the car definitely runs better. It appears that I get better gas mileage too.
Here is what I got:
1) Transmission replaced.
2) New torque converter.
3) New transmission fluid.
All that for $2,000. The transmission alone was $900. The $1,100 balance was labor. Cannot believe it. It took approximately 5 hours to complete. Guess I was lucky on time, since I was told initially that it would take two days. Glad to have it done.
